We often get the mice under the bath at this time of year but I've found a standard trap with a small blob of Nutella chocolate spread does the trick & within 4-5 days no more mice.

I use AF snappa mouse boxes and have the best results with milk chocolate.

I tried baiting with milk chocolate, but something kept eating the rest of the bar.

Chap on the allotments used to make a trap from a cooking oil drum, one of the 25 litre metal ones. He used to cut a X in the base and push the points in and when the rats got in they pushed the points aside but they got them in the face trying to get out. Next morning he used to pour petrol in and light it, none of that humane crap for him. We used to have a Fox Terrier who could kill anything with one snap, we called her crocodog she was red hot. She once caught a rabbit while she was on the flexy lead and I had not even seen it.

Not being funny Peat, but that chap with the petrol? His nose would be shaped like my forehead if I saw that.
