Any room to make stables? There's money in just having a place to graze and sleep horses for people.

On the drinking front I started out like you and turned into full blown alcoholic. Been sober for years now. Please don't let yourself get to my stage!! Never think about drink now (except when talking / writing about it)

Also the beer will just depress you more. All round nasty stuff if it gets the better of you. I had to say to myself never another drink. It was daunting to begin with but after a few weeks it never bothered me again as I felt so much better.

Keep going mate

How about setting up a 5c caravan site? £10 a night per caravan/camper and then £6/£7 for a tent. Some of them you don't even need to supply electric, a toilet or shower etc. Literally just someone to park it for a night or however long!

Land is let until end of the year. We are looking at all sorts of camping / glamping next year though. 28 day campsite etc. Have a lovely field for 50 tents and can hire in facilities. Not bad money at all for a month of aggro.

Hi mate I know your area a bit I used to live in Paignton, can you get part time work delivery driving? Building supplies companies often do mainly morning deliveries or you could do a catalogue run or something?

Yeah, been looking at driving jobs as that's what I'm good at. Plus, if I had to drive early, I would need to keep off the vino the night before. Problem is at the moment I'm just here on the farm rolling about and doing pretty much bugger all with no deadlines and nowhere to go. Waste of life.

Thanks Richard. I'm building up to a booze free October, scary as that may be (to me at least). Might be a good exercise in self control. See if I can do it and if I can't, I have a problem that needs proper help and I need to open up to my closest folk (also scary). Good idea? Did you just pull the plug on it? I did that with smoking and never looked back. Problem is that drink is everywhere.

Just pulled the plug. Never touched a drop since. For me that was the only way. Put the money in a pot and buy something you want. Chainsaw/drill I don't know anything you can not buy when drinking. Then buy something else. Eventually you will forget what it was like and so will everyone else. They will get the old you back! Good luck mate
