Also if you've bought a set of second hand spikes check they haven't been sharpened badly, they can become really awkward to use if the angle of the dangle has been messed about with too much

Been climbing on the Kleins with velcro pads for 20yrs, wear them most days and find them very comfy. I would like to try the geckos as every person who has worn them, says they are super comfy.

As others have said, make sure they are adjusted correctly, makes a huge difference.

Apart from me mate. I didn't like the Geckos at all. They didn't fit me the few times I used them but I think my main problem was with the actual gaff. Not for me...

A few years later I ended up using the CF Geckos. My mate is a similar size to me so the sizing was spot on. I still found them uncomfortable and noticed the bit going under the instep was too proud. Made it impossible to branch walk unless you were on the stilettos.

I will stick to my Bashlin Alloys with Velcro wrap arounds. I may go for a set of KK's o just get a spike cender and spacerfor my Bashlins. Built gotta work out how to get it on there.

Bashlins will always be my second favourite. Super spikes....and i hear what your saying about the instep especially on a limb walk...i tend to angle the gaff in on such manoeveres

Both as comfortable as each other but my preference is for the letter bottom straps as found I couldn't get the Velcro tight to stop them creeping back onto my heal but that's also the falt of airstreams having hardly any heal step.

This is really strange, I've heard this said before, but one of the bottom straps on my allow gecko's has completely gone, but I've continued using them without issue for months.

Bought a new set of kleins on ebay for £100 and really regret not investing in some ally geckos. Get really sore knees after long days on them, problem seems to be the top of the spikes applying alot of sideways pressure on the inside of my knees pushing them out a la john wayne, maybe I need to spend a bit of time fiddling with em

Maybe putting more weight on your heels might help.
