Which Chainsaw do you use?

Obviously, we are a company. We want to learn more about Chainsaw owners, what they value and what sorts of tools and kit you use on a daily basis and why.

 

1) which Chainsaw do you use? (most if you have more than 1)

 

2) What item of PPE could you totally not do without?

 

3) Which axes do you favour?

Either husky t540xp or my 560xp depending on what I'm doing. Helmet

And don't use axe if I can help it

Husqvarna 560XP with MM or 346XP ( spud ported ) Have other bigger saws but if I can do it all with the above I will .

CHAINSAWS: I use all husky's, 357xp and a 560xp for general stuff with 16" oregon bar and chain. Tophandle i use a husky T540xp, MILLING: I use either a 395xp36" SUGI bar with ripping chain or My 3120xp 52" SUGI bar with ripping chain for bigger things.

 

PPE: ANDREW boots, soooo comfy!

 

AXE: Wetterlings, forest axe and small forest axe. cheaper than a gransfors, same quality, razor sharp!!!! only because of rumours that gransfors are not a very accommodating supplier to distributors!

 

I service a 70 acre forest.

I use my 365xt the most as its great,

 

All my PPE is essential

 

I use a nice axe with a hickory handle, can swing it all day long & did so today

hi all ihave stihl two 181 341 441 880 . i use the 181 the most then 341 all good saws

At work we use husky 365xp as general ground saw, plus husky 395 xp,3120 and stihl 088 for the big stuff, for my personal use I have stihl 028,038 and Ms 251, ppe has to be a decent pair of trousers and axes I have two roughneck one a standard axe and one splitting maul.

Stihl ms271- epic saw, great on the ground and well balanced in a tree.

Stihl ms150t - its a very versatile saw in my opinion.

As treequip said, it's all necessary but I'll always have a pair of ear defenders on whatever I'm doing.
