High temps effect on starting chainsaw??

Do very high temps ,like today,sometimes make it difficult to start your chainsaw ,whatever make you use,or is it just my imagination. If they do is there a way round it ,thanks.

My 550xp was a pig to start yesterday. Put it down to being left in the sun for a while whilst I was up in the tree. Not sure why it would affect it. It's usually a good starter, hot or cold. Another problem I had yesterday was the tickover after using it. A few times, after trimming fallen bits, the saw wouldn't return to idle and revved a lot higher than it should. A few blips generally cleared it. Wondered if some crap had got into the trigger mech somehow.

One thing I've learned with my 550XP is never to push the decompression button on a hot day once the saw has already been used - or it will never restart!

When its hot like now fuel evaparate at a faster rate . If you have a primer bulb use that but dont use the choke when its hot .

Huskys have always been notoriously difficult to start once left in the hot sun. Try and leave them in the shade

A few years ago my mate and I were on a job with several saws and it was 30C in the shade just for that day. We had to walk off the job because we couldn't get any of the saws going.

How do the Aussies etc deal with this? 30C is pullover weather for some of them!

So the "New Generation "so say computerised chainsaw engines cannot self adjust for hot /cold weather??

Had a job this time last year, was hot as hell! 260, 261 and 200t refused to start! Was that hot it even blew up the tyre on the arb trolley so much it popped off the rim...twice!!

Funny, today was blistering, and the first time I've had trouble with the t540. Wouldn't start from warm. I was rigging out a larch, so lots of quick cuts, with the engine off in between. Almost threw it out of the tree!
