And yet another method of sharpening teeth.....

Since the cost of teeth has reduced, I don't often sharpen them any more. When I do I find using a 9" angle grinder with an ordinary metal grinding disk has a far greater metal removal rate than a bench grinder reducing the sharpening time. This is not the method for green teeth, yellow jacket etc.

I remove the backing with the angle grinder with the teeth still on the machine (cover the paintwork if you are concerned about burn spots) then either sharpen with a diamond angle grinding disc or remove the teeth from the machine and use a green wheel on a bench grinder.

Tried with a big angle grinder that is, was no success for me on the multi tip , but think I approach it wrong

Thanks

Best method of dealing with stump grinding teeth, IME, is to put the used ones in a box and move onto the next job.

When the box of used teeth starts to annoy me, throw them all in the bin and put an extra ice cube in my drink.

Brilliant!

I'm pretty much the same, I hate sharpening grinder teeth, I will give them a tickle up once from new then replace.
