Are you Scottish chief or are you a Nigel who now lives here, I'm sorry you view Scotland as such a hole if you dislike the country that much feel free to depart, I love my country I think it's just as good as any other country in the world, and if it's a crime to want to see Scotland shape its own future then guilty as charged.

You always put this country down never accept any criticism of the union . I happen to think the rest of the UK should be independent too.

I am half British, half German, born in England and resided there for the first 20 years, and the last 10 years up here.

I didn't say Scotland was a hole - quite the contrary. It has some amazing places and some amazing people (though there are obviously some complete holes), just like huge numbers of other countries. That being said, if I were to make the move again (that we did 10 years ago), I'd move to Germany, which is a more pleasant place to live for a great number of reasons. As it happens, we're tied here now and it's perfectly fine.

What I object to with some of the language you use (and the language Salmond et al are so fond of) is that is reminds me of the Nuremberg Rallies. Nationalism is ugly and often dangerous and I'd love to see it disappear.

The words in bold? why do you think that would be the case?

:lol::lol::lol:

Well, now?

He mighta attended Gordonstoun as well as Eaton/Harrow, as well visiting his (presumably African) homeland where OBVIOUSLY (innit!|) the toddlers are encouraged to play with machetes.:lol::lol::lol:

PS

I read an account, probably in National Geographic, of a South American tribe, which, despite being ever unaware of Darwins existence, allowed his logic to rule.

In that they blythly allowed the toddlers to play with machetes, climb tall trees, play on the banks of fast flowing rivers, etc etc.

To inevetably produce better (i.e. the survivors) adults.:lol::lol::lol:

I liked their pragmatic approach.
