Not necessarily it's let down by the cutting head in my opinion ,the sandvik head on the 2010 cuts faster and has more weight so it doesn't bounce on the stump ,you still have to work both!!

But far easier to swing side to side than a non turntable machine, the wheel does not dig itself into a hole like a non turntable machine. As for the head, well I have owned a 2010 and I prefer the bandit. I have not found that the wheel bounces off the stump. Yes you do have to work it but with the bandit you can work it with one hand, effortless. The best thing is if people try both and see what they prefer.

The hb20 is a quality machine. Only bit I struggle with is when the stump I high ir up a bit of slope as it does require a fair amount of effort. The biggest stump I've done with mine was 4.5feet across plus the buttress roots and was about 2 feet of vertical grinding height as it was half buried. It took about 2.5hoursto do but it got there. On your average 2 foot stump cut low they are super and will squeeze through most gates.

I own a new 30hp 2010 and have tried the bandit you still need down force which might need 2 hands especially when the teeth are a little dull!

The cutting head on the 2010 is much more aggressive but the original poster should try both then decide .

Surley then the key is to keep the treeth sharp? I turn mine as soon as they start to dull, that way there is less stress on the machine. The bit that I always hated on pedestrian grinders is the locked wheel digging into the ground while grinding, it's a pita, this is where a turntable machine wins points IMO.

How deep are some of you grinding with the hb20? I always like to do a full deep grind.

Its ok having videos of grinders eith sharp teeth grinding a high clean stump, where are the videos of it balls deep into the bottom of the stump? Soil roots stones and all?
