Yep only needle and thread now, though I did have an old hand driven singer sewing machine at one time for making up dog leads etc, my mum always told us all as kids that she would make sure we could all cook clean and sew :laugh1:

Been sewing my torn waterproofs tonight because it's gonna hiss down tomorrow..... needle n thread job whilst watching something on TV about the Suffragettes (fascinating program).

I'm too slow at this sewing lark so my partner has taken over! Lol

Needle and thread man, never used a machine. When I was younger and still living at home if anyone needed something patching they always came to me.

I've take trousers up too but no fancy tailoring I'm afraid; it's such a good skill to learn.

I sew better than my wife. I used to do all the repairs on my saw breeks, but there's a lassie in the next village who is a seamstress and has an open fire. Didn't take too long to come to an arrangement. :thumbup1:

Nothing like the feeling of warmth from an open fire on your bum cheeks.
