I had thought of sliding doors and fillign form the side but have never needed to so its overcomplicating. turnign the chipper 90 degrees to the back will cover most situations.

Gas struts are again a good idea but we dicussed before that you would have to remove nay ladders on top every time you wanted to use them.

My current think is to have a high enough box for woodchip to go into but then put some storage space in the top corner at the fron end so that this area can't be filled with chip. That way you carry only as much as you would with a lower roof and so you don't overload.

Well, Ive always prefered LDV -I would put an electric winch on the front to stop you getting stuck. But apart from that -they are a good buy. Lads don't like them cos they are not fast and thus not cool. But this game is not about driving like a tit -with yr bosses chipper slapping the roundabout kerbs......

Friend of mine runs a old one, it used to my truck when we worked for a big local firm, it's a plodder, heavy loads, towing a big Vermeer. but goes on and on and on,

I have an LDV, I don't give a damn about the speed of the thing as long as it starts and runs with minimal hassle, it's a tool like anything else and I expect to run it till it breaks.
