Do the fans on top of the log burners work? Anyone use one?

 

Thinking of getting 2, one to blow out into the room and one to blow towards the door corridor.

Well after 6 hard years the stove fan motor burnt out.

New motor (and generator!) £7.60, 5 min job to swap over.

 

 

 

In the meantime I bought another fan, dual head 8 blade job

 

 

 

So now got all 3 spinning away on top of the stove!

I've got one and the only useful thing about it in my opinion as it gives a visual indication the fire is going out when it slows down. I don't think it does much else.

Good for you if yours do though.
