Maybe the tree had to much decay to sectional fell in smaller bits.

Also rigging is the problem to much movement in rope that crossed the garden can't see why they did not just put a strop off tree.

Having watched it a couple of times I can see that they were trying to avoid the power line to the left of the shot.

I'd of thought that taking it off above the fork would have been better but then again it's impossible to get the full story from one angle, hence why we "go" to quotes rather than quote from a pic in an email!!!!!
