Biggest trees ??

Gerald Beranek would have some good stories. I suggest ordering a copy of:

A TREE STORY

A Tree Story: books and videos by Gerald F Beranek

It's on CD in .pdf format. Plenty of stories by Jerry about his days climbing redwoods and some cool pics where he is up a monster redwood dropping the top half or so.

I've read it twice already. He's a great story teller. I don't know what the mail / shipping is overseas, but if you are into trees, clibing and cutting - maybe even fishing - this is a must read. Maybe order several copies and give one to a friend in the trade. There are a lot of photos on the CD.

Not that big but my biggest in a built up area, with a audience watching it sure puts the pressure on. Was tottaly buzzin when it was going down (nice slow drop) and on the deck but held my cool and made it made it look like its an everyday thing:thumbup1:, Bit annoyed that i dipped the nose on the cut but practice makes perfect :thumbup1:

There is an excitement in big straight fells. My biggest was an English elm at 110 feet. Can't remember the diameter but was big. Did loads of big elm fells back in the day and it was all good to a young feller:001_smile: That one had the Matador on two wheels.

Would much rather be able to see them standing now.
