They are getting to be a pain around my way. I can see beaver burgers on the specials board down my local very soon.

Have you seen the damage they are doing?

Especially on private property.

 

If I walked into your back garden and felled a 300mm ash and took it home for my fire, I think you would be slightly peeved. Yet a little furry creature can get away with this (apart from the fire bit ) and joe public think it's really cute.

Not a question of them being cute. They are an outstanding landscape engineering species and, in many areas, would do much to alleviate flooding (yes I do understand the difference between European and American).

I had a conversation with Ted Green some years ago, during which he gave forth on his opinions about Beavers. I have to say, I agree with him.

Yes kill all those damn pesky beavers they eat all the fish as well don't you know... Just like those damn foxes and the devastation they could cause if they got in a battery chicken farm.
