Just heard on the news that the global spead of swine flu is now a pandemic and is now classed as 'unstopable' BUT people generally get over it without even knowing they have it or without treatment.... SO.... what a fuss for something that is only as bad as the normal flu we get every winter..

all the deaths from this, the deceased all had serious underlying health problems, so how can they be certain that it was the swine flu that killed them? Maybe it just speeded the process up ( i know that sounds a bit harsh but it is a question the coroner or pathologists would ask themselves i'm sure.)

Each year in this country 11,000 people die from "normal flue".

In 1918 the "Spanish flu came in the spring, most people who caught it had mild symptoms. It returned in the Autumn/winter and killed 50Million world wide, more than WW1.

Most of those killed were under 40 and fit and healthy.

This was before antibiotics.

11,000 people...... that's actually less that I expected it to be considering the old and frail etc.

Spanish Flu eh?? Jesus H Holy Christ!!! 50M world wide is a serious bug...

Bloody hope I dont get that!!

Suffering with a lung infection at the moment which I am positive is pneumonia, although the doctor wont confirm that as he's ''not sure'', and man does it hurt..... coughing, shallow breathing, no sleep, bruised ribs/pulled muscles..... last thing I need is swine flu but it looks like eveyone is going to get a dose of it sooner or later..

speaking to a doctor to day, he told me that they had even stopped trying to contain it, with the disposal of "tummy-flu" (some kind of drug), which doesnt actually get rid of it, it just slows it down.

i wonder what type of flu will be next!?

crocodile flu?!
