British Firewood Association

Or why haven't we got one? - so much for self regulation......

Banks and building societies have associations - nothing keeps them in line if they choose to break laws or the trust of their customers. Can't reasonably blame this situation on not having an association.

As to the 'Mods' or Steve 'leaning' on the offender. As has already been said, it's not the job and they may not what to get involved in any case. Imagine two people meet through a mutual like of the same pub. A suggest to B that he has something to sell. A deal is done but it all goes pear shaped. Would you really expect the publican and or staff to wade in on either side? Not the their job; the pub is run in a reasonable manner and has a high reputation, in part due to most of its customers getting on well together.

Tis rotten when things don't work out. But no recorded contract, so not much that can be done. Sympathy your way, yes.

The landlord also bars those undesirable customers in order to keep his business attractive and popular.
