Yew, walnut, spalted beech, laburnum, all those big funny twisty bits that won't split (any species) and that really dark oak you get sometimes.

 

Same here plus some burr elm and very Pippy oak.

Tonight ive got @HullsMillFarm off cuts getting fire going and now just dumped a load of elm and willow bits on there, the small stuff that falls through the grate on the processor. Hell its roaring away!

Horse chestnut. Nowt wrong with it, burns a treat.

 

Seconded, splits very easy and dries quick as well. Need to get it under cover quickly once split I find or else soon gets an ugly mould on the surface.

Dismantled old fences.

 

Just watched a bit of Fred Dibnah having a proper fire. With tyres to bring chimmey down.

 

Now we send em to landfill or abroad. Don't let anyone kid you. I see it happen regularly. We just waste more energy cating them around.
