Builder friend burns quite a lot of his waste and the only thing that caused his stove any problems was some varnished flooring that permanently stained the glass.

Not sure I agree with burning any treated wood tbh, can't be good for the air my kids breath, surely working with trees people can get enough clean wood for themselves.

Hi Kev

I was meaning as well as normal logs.

Just didn't want to throw got on the bonfire if it was usable.

The garage was built in 1960 so wood is nice and dry!

I guess it's better burnt in the stove than a bonfire any rate due to the secondary burn.

Anyway I'm a hypocrite, should of seen the junk I got rid of on nov 5th💥😳

Well Horse Chestnut is ok, not great.

It's quite light when seasoned, so you'll be reloading the stove more often.

It burns well though, just not much heat from it per unit volume.

I'd rate it somewhere between Willow (poor) and Sycamore(good).

I burn quite a lot of it.

One thing to watch is not to let it stand on the ground, like willow and Syc, it'll soak up any water available and go to mush.

Currently, I'm burning oil (gets coat.....)
