what do you use to protect your shins when using a brushcutter/strimm

you can get brushcutter trousers with the protection in but not as heavy as chain saw trousers. i just use heavy duty trousers with boots never had problems with my legs. its my face that sometimes get a hit. but use helmet with fly eye glasses. works well. stops anything going in eyes.

 

Full face clear Perspex mask with thin rubber riveted to the bottom of the mask to stop any stones/dog mess hitting your chest and rebounding into your face, I found was the best set up.

my shins are a mess using a small strimmer when i,am doing the gardens for my neighbors etc and dred if i had to use my old echo srm4000 on big stuff i'am at the stage where everyone's asking when i'am wearing shorts" what on earth have you done to your legs etc

would these stop thorn going in if knelt down. just thinking if they be better than chainsaw trousers. as you get hot in chainsaw trousers. and are they waterproof. could use them for strimming as well
