my mother bought an austin allegro because grand parents had bought a austin princess

 

chicken in the basket was always popular in pubs down here

pernod and black

port and lemon

dubonet and lemon

rum and black

my father always drunk watney's special or watney's red label :thumbup::thumbup:

 

Dad had an Allegro, I think the colour was Copper-gold(Rusty more like)!

 

It did have a vinyl roof mind.

 

Oh, he drank "Black"n"Tan.

same colour :thumbup::thumbup: they also made a vanden plas model i think

cant forget the hydra knicker elastic suspension :laugh1::laugh1:

Ok then .......Old money ! Ten Shillings and sixpence .....

 

That's ten bob and a tanner. Then there was thrupenny bits and half penny's. Farthings weren't about in my time.

Getting the cane for forging your mums signature on a sick note then caned again for skiving.......:laugh1:
