We are bought up with sayings such as make hay while the sun shines etc, but as you get older you realise that the saying that makes the most sense is youth is wasted on the young. Is it just me or are most youngsters now totally useless when it comes to manual labour.

its because they are not brought up to work with their ipods, computers etc, through in H + S and thats what you get.

couple of months and I will be able to officially come in here and whine like the rest of you :)

Couple of months and I'll have been a member for a decade! In that time logs (and everything else) have got heavier, traffic drives twice as fast, I've had two heart attacks and contracted cancer, so now I just work for myself and take my time over things!

Wel if this is the place to say it,here goes, ime absolutely fed up with youngsters that i spend all my time on teaching to cut hedges straight, feed chippers properly, and to use saws to a high standard of ability, when they have reached that level, only for them to unpredictably go off to wash lorries out or drive a fastrac for 16 hours a day or strim on a frontline mod fighter base all day every day.

and only drag one bit of brash THEN! watch it as it goes through the chipper

then turn around and trip over all the rubbish they've managed to drop around the chipper and still not clear it up

Aye

Hello Mick can I join in as I am much younger than you.

I have been developing a new range of sprog beaters,

series 1 has been developed just the right size to keep in your back pocket for occasional use.

Series 2 to stand next to the chipper suitable for all day use
