You will be surprised at what sort of people take wood and it ain't all the travelling type

That is very true I did a job last year in a fancy estate and got asked all the time if people could take it. Sure you can if you cross my palm was the answer oh ok we won't bother then but they just came back at night to help them selves so I just went round with the trailer and loaded it all back up. Surprisingly they just peeked out of the blinds and never came out the door. It's those with money who are the worse I think

I'm starting to get paranoid about this.

On Wednesday we took down a pine in Goring (Worthing) and left all the big stuff for the client. Just like the previous 'hit' it was stacked out the back and was not visible from the road.

In the morning all that was left were the big rings of the trunk!

I'm not really too bothered as it not the best wood to burn and I wasn't charging the client for it. BUT I can understand how some of you loggists must feel when it's your living that these 'fellows' are helping themselves to.

Thats 5 tons lifted recently, from the centre of a big town.

HI SHANE 2 winter ago someone taken 50tons of hard wood not all small stuff that why i like large BUTTS harder to nick thanks jon

Don't know what everyone's moaning about, we use this to our advantage!

We do a fair bit of commercial work where they just want the tree gone, we can't be bothered to cart the wood around most of the time, so we log up, maybe take a few 'prime rib' bits, make a tempting stack of the rest by the roadside and by morning it's all gone - even the real knotty crap. It's brilliant!
