How far will you travel to work?

Just interested in how far people here will travel to work, either on a commuting basis or whats the furthest you'll cover.

Starting to get a few offers of jobs and as of yet not got my own transport so I'm finding it difficult to get to any outwith the local area, so my furthest is about 10 miles (hours cycle) unless somebody can pick me up or I can get somewhere by train..

With a vehicle I can see it being better but can't really see myself travelling more than an hour each morning..

What about y'all?

When i work for my mate doing generator/acoustic instalations(about 1 day a week on average) we go all over the place, tommorow we are going from hertford to warrington, about a 400mile round trip for hopefully 2 hours on site,, we have been working in redhill for a month, about 2 hours each way, that seems to be about average.

I did 86 miles each way for over a year on one project, you get used to it.

Get up early, get home late, lots of the London bods who train to work have the same hours. 6.30 start home at 19.00 hrs.

Now I like to be home at about 4.00 pm, life is too short to spend too long working.
