The location was in a cul de sac with plenty of places to park, signage was placed in front of the red van & off camera at the other end, cones were placed in space & were moved by the car driver, chipper was wheel clamped as the work was in the rear garden. The job didn't warrant an extra body. You could clearly see it was a work area. I think the op was clearly stating not to underestimate the stupidity & resourcefulness of the general public.

There must have at least two of you, as there appears to be two trucks, could one of you not have stayed???

The public are notorious for their ability to thwart us in our duties at every turn. That's a given in any scenario, and you just have to work around every possible eventuality.

The chipper however, I would definitely not have left unattended. A wheel clamp is only a deterrent to us mere mortals, to a seasoned criminal it's merely a five second hiccup in their day. Either leave someone with it or take it away with you, we don't want to see another "my chippers been nicked" thread.
