Massive demand but still selling logs as if waste

I was approached by a person today who enquired as to the price of my delicious seasoned hardwood logs (min 2 years). I told her the price was £380 for a 2.5 cube loose load. This person baulked at the price saying she was paying £215 for "dry" what ever that means tranny tipper load.

She is from the old guard of scrawmer who has got used to paying next to nothing for logs when logs were regarded almost as waste and priced accordingly.

She said when I told her to go and order from her usual log man that he had run out of "dry".

I charge the correct premium for my "genuine" seasoned hardwood and I sell lots so why are almost all log suppliers wedded to almost working for minimum wage rates when the demand for quality logs is massive ?

That guys worked just as hard as me but made much less for no reason and I find it weird why most do it. I can only think the need to convert the cord into CASH asap is the be all and end all regardless of doing the maths before hand to see if hourly rate is correct.:confused1:
