We have a resident JR hot-water bottle, plus 2 half-bred Daschunds, one of which sleeps curled round the top of the wifes head.

Plus a 50kg Rotty/black Lab cross, who likes to sleep in the bed , but is not always welcome!

Will see if I have photos.

Our dog stays downstairs, keeps guard on the van.

One foot on the gravel drive, and he wakes the whole house up.

My old Border Terrier, used to sleep on the bed, was a great foot warmer, but got too old to jump up.

Dogs sleeping with their owners has been going on for thousands of years, keeps you warm, keeps rodents away, stops you getting robbed.

Aboriginal people call a cold night a "two dog night".

Only down side is they are dirty and they stink.

My dogs live downstairs in a big cage and a comfy bed, the border can't be bothered with the kids and the German pointer is a head case and can't settle upstairs, oh and I'm now allergic to them for some reason!

They spend their time snoozing

During the day they are in the living area and kitchen with my wife.

Terrier has a cushion on the floor in our room but usually just before the alarm goes off she'll jump up and snooze by my feet for a bit.

Husky's never ventured off the route from front door to back door - reckon if she did we'd never get her back out!

No dogs on our bed. Roxie has her own super-king size in another bedroom though as you doesn't mix with the cats.

We do seem to end up with several cats most nights, but the other rotties and cocker sleep downstairs. They all snore too loudly to be in the same room with anyway.
