Aboriginal people call a cold night a "two dog night".

Only down side is they are dirty and they stink.

That's when you've been out on the town and pulled twice. I was on nights first time our fox terrier jumped on the bed as a pup and shook my nose to wake me up. I woke up very suddenly with blood pouring out of the milk teeth punctures. We don't have dogs any more but an electric blanket does the job and is much cleaner.

I would say that it is nice to have sommat warm and furry to pet in bed, that dos'nt garble when petted.

Cept the wife generally purrs:thumbup::001_tt2:

However having expereinced a cold wet Donky sized Mastiff nose sniffing my nether regions whilst otherwise occupied.

Can be a trifle disconcerting:thumbdown::lol:

no heating in the house ever so the dogs do a good job at keeping you warm when there is ice on the inside of the window

Remember lodging away in a caravan years ago and during winter waking up with the sleeping bag frozen to the window. Can't imagine doing it now though.

The dog use to sleep on my bed when I was single but when it's a bit of a passion killer when the other half hugs you and a staffe starts growling in your ear. So we got him a friend and they sleep in the lobby with a dog flap so if they hear something they can go check it out.
