Took some getting into but interesting nonetheless.

Everyone is on the Steinbeck at the moment! I enjoyed the grapes of wrath and Of mice and men but I found Cannery row a bit of a struggle for some reason. East of Eden has been on the shelf for a while...I'll get around to it one day, maybe once I've finished the Game of thrones, which is actually really good.

Aye- Cannery row was a bit odd, it didn't really have much of a beginning middle and end as such, but I found it enjoyable reading anyway, not a patch on grapes tho!

Just reading Ground Truth by Patrick Bishop about 3 Para second tour of helmand after reading 3 Para which is about their first tour. Waiting for the next instalment of Game of Thrones. Another good read is Fire Strike 7/9 about life as a Forward Air Controller in Helmand.

Tried to read the seven pillars of wisdom when I was in the sixth form at school. Very interesting read but quite heavy going.
