I've just had a request for 8" max logs! are stoves getting smaller or does my customer not know what 8" looks like:thumbup:!?

I cut most of my logs to 10/11" so have told her I'll have to charge extra to cover extra time etc.

Am I being reasonable in charging more??

I tend to cut a couple of dumpy bags of 7 inch logs every now and again as I now have a few customers who ask for shorter one. Don't charge any extra.

Used to cut to 10" - 11" for personal use, but now found that if they are cut at 7" - 8" they give a lot more heat out due to extra air that circulates round them

Have quite a few customers asking for 8" logs. Basically it's all the short off cuts plus a few nice ones. Charge the same at present but really should charge more as definitely a lot more work. On the plus side got a few customers wanting 16" logs and they pay the same as well. Can't be bothered with a different prices for our various lengths so for the time being it's you win some you lose some.
