how far do you go in your landy a day?

I find them a bit uncomfortable on long trips, wouldn't want to be doing long journeys all the time in them, but I can put up with them when I need to easily enough. My brother-in-law, gets out groaning and moaning if he has to do a long trip with me, he's not driving, so I think different people find them easier or harder to bear. Maybe just depends if you're a Landy person or not.

I've just driven from the east coast to north Wales and back over three days in my '57 90. 698 miles to be exact. I've yet to work out the mpg but not too bad. I don't find it uncomfortable at all, felt fine when I got out this evening after a 5 hour straight stint.

I normally do 60-80 miles a day for work, averaging 27mpg.

I do find my crew cab land better than my other Landys for space, I like to drive with the window down so I can get my elbow out, I also have a small steering wheel fitted. I could go and price jobs on my skateboard to save money but it wouldn't give the right image Swinny lad, Ha,Ha:)

I fitted a small steering wheel too, it does help.:001_smile:

4 to 5 hundred miles a week in my 127 200tdi, a few weeks ago I did Hertfordshire to the peak district, 20 mile bike ride, then 20 miles of greenlining, then back home in a 12 hour period no problem(about a 350 mile drive) :001_cool:

driven it to Scotland twice, once towing a boat, good fun. :thumbup1:

earlier in the year we were working in London, about an hours drive from our meeting car park, 3 times we went in my mates e reg, standard seated 90, no problems, 1 time we went in our bosses audi a6, when we arrived in that my back, legs and shoulders ached!
