How old is older people ?. I'm 61 and if anybody comes to the door selling or offering to do work they get sent away quite quickly by myself or my wife, almost as quickly as Jehovahs Witnesses. One stopped my wife as she was going out and told her that he would cut the tree down on the back garden for us as the neighbours had complained about it (total fabrication) and rest assured he is a proper "tree man"(his words). She told him it was being dealt with and asked which of them was complaining as we get on well with our neighbours and they all love the tree (she can lie as good as him) ;) I would have cut the branch down for her for the wood alone it looked a good size. :D

Its beats me how people that gullible get the money in the first place.

I suppose age plays a major part but it still makes my wonder.

Probably less gullible, more frightened what would happen if she refused to pay him. Doesn't sound like she agreed to him doing it.
