I can see what horatio is saying. But my method to get groundmans working hard is price work! E.g this Saturday just gone I told my groundie there £80 in the job for you in the first job. Then if we can the second one done there a extra £40. We was done by 3 ish. He never stop working hard all day. He earn good money and so did I!

so you paid him time & a half & made him feel like he was getting well paid :001_tongue:

£100 actually

Bloody strong money, but as I said, I still wouldn't jog or run, a brisk walk is the same speed, better balanced and wears you out less. Assuming you pay that to the labourer, how much do you pay a climber?

Fair play, I wish I was on £100 a day!

Eerrrr, wake up. Run back from the chipper show your boss your working you butt off and that you are an asset to his company that you get more done in a day than another tree bod.

It's not rocket science.

Generic example 2x plodders at £60 a day or one proper worker @£100 day

I would rather be knackered at £100 a day than

Feel okay for £60 a day, just me though

£100 is top, if they don't jog back then guess what they don't get top money.
