I tried a pre-production one and thought it was pony. I need to buy 2x climbing saws immediately and have been holding out for this but still am not convinced - is it really as rubbish as I've heard? I have always been a Stihl man but the 560 converted me, but Husky don't appear to have delivered here. The 201 didn't need a lot of beating but this topper from Husky looks weak in build and performance is poor from what I am being told. I want it to be great as the opposition is rubbish, but I'm not prepared to blow a grand on a load of crap. Someone please set me straight!

I believe that's the way to go, and that's where I want to spend my money. Just seeing if anyone honestly thinks the Husky is a real player in the marketplace? I might buy one of each and appraise them both, but I do know that the standard 201 is pretty flat.

I got T540 and a 201 . The t540 pisses all over the 201 and is good , if not better than my 200t . Only had it a few weeks so can't really say about the robustness but its a stonker so far . :001_smile:

Used one. For light crown lifling etc....

Personally dont see what the fuss is about. Needing a tool to do fuel and oil caps. Chain adjuster in chain brake cover :confused1: sounded like it had a broken exhaust... also with the compression it takes one hell of a pull to start....

I dont want one at all :001_smile:

Seems pretty robust after dragging it through some large conifer hedges and big take downs and and has the power.. Look forward to it properly broken in a month or two. Ran nearly 5 liters through it so will switch to synthetic oil for it by wenesday.

Exhaust notes pretty quiet to a 200t I think... Even reminds me of the last revamped bigger cc 338 I brought before I drilled the exhaust!

Takes on hell of a pull to start ?? I'm as weak as a kitten nowadays but I can start mine ! Took the spark screen out of mine strait away . Sopu8nds ok to me . Not making a big fuss , just better than a 201 .
