I used to be with Natwest for business banking a few years ago - note used to be with :001_smile:

I found the account quite expensive to run on the whole and the branch was open stupid hours. Quite often they'd make mistakes within the account too, like making double deposits/withdrawals etc so you had to keep a very close eye on what was happening.

I've no experience of Barclays so can't comment on them.

I've had the double deposits/withdrawls thing umpteen times with both Lloyds and HBOS and really need a local branch which is Natwest. Barclays was the most complained about business bank apparently...

yes i think natwest has stayed in the small towns here in our part of the world

where as hsbc , barclays and lloyds tsb have all tended to move on long ago

but they all make there mistakes but it is a tough one who too choose

I've been with Barclays for 10 years, I was with Santandaire before that but they were a joke. Barclays are excellent in my opinion.

Just got my barclays account sorted, they wer very good, got 2years free banking just for asking, got a local branch with a business manager in 3days a week, english (well in glasgow ) call centre.

So as far as I can tell best off a bad bunch.

Ow and I can do all my online stuff, payments check balance etc on my phone.

I pay a lot of money in 'charges' each month. I'm with Natwest and of late have been rather unimpressed with the number of mistakes they have been making.

The thing that gets my goat the most is having to pay them to pay in cash.

A necessary evil - banks
