Business Banking: NatWest vs Barclays ???

My wife has been walking into Barclays for over 20 yrs to get cash out from the Estate business account, no problems until the other day. Stroppy assistant says she can't cash cheque as 'your signature is not on the mandate'.

 

So because of Barclays mess up we can't get cash out.

 

Personally I would have stood there and loudly rang the police to report the bank for cashing fraudulent cheques for 20 yrs.

I have no experience of Natwest but Barclays lost 40 k of my money on 2 separate occasions and took nearly 6 weeks to return it. I have now paid off my mortgage to get rid of them. IMO the worst bank ever x 10. I have been with Santander business banking for at least 10 years with no problems.

40K gone AWOL must have been a nightmare

 

I also bank with Santander for our very small biz & they seem fine, have used them for about 7 years now.

They are all ok until you have problems, be it their's or your own.

They truly are beauties. They lost a cheque of £8k and waste no time letting you know that you're now overdrawn and paying for the privilege. 100% Wan***s.
