Im a self empoyed climber that uses other firms machinery. Gonna get myself a med/lrg saw that can tackle most things. Ive always used a ms460 and thought it was great but they now unavaliable to buy new. Ive heard a few dodgy things about the 461 but wondered what people reckon on here. Thought about a 560xp but dunno weather it would be big enough to handle a larger fell. Just need a good all rounder.

any advice??:confused1:

Medium large I would recommend a 372XP or a 390XP . I have both amongst others .

I love my 390XP but wouldn't put longer than a 28" bar on it...

I would like to get a 395XP - it's only a few cc more but seems more of a beast... not sure why. Would be better for me milling smaller stuff though.

576xp or ms461 for climbing duties, 90cc+ is a bit overkill when both these saws can handle 25" bars easily.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about the 461 yet, no one on arbtalk has given a review yet - does anyone have one?

Got 395 as well , also 3120 on 50" Canon . Much prefer the 395 over the 3120 . 395 revs harder . its on a 36" . My 390 as you suggest is on a 28" .

But they can't handle a 36 too :-)

I'd get a 660. I'd much rather have a 25 on it full time but have the option to go bigger as and when
