Trailer Test

I want one of our lads to do the trailer test so he can tow bigger trailers.

Does he need to/is it worth him doing the training first, or should I just get him a book to read up and and book the test.

Is it pretty straightforward or should we get some training first?

He drives OK and tows the little chipper.

I did mine without lessons and past first time, but I am pretty awesome!

I also had the advantage of having had the full LGV training a couple of years previous so all the info about the little thing examiners like was still fairly fresh.

I don't think I'd have passed straight after passing my car license.
