i lived in morzine france for 3 years running a lodge, sking/snowboarding winter mountain biking summer best time ever. unfortunatly not going riding this year got a wedding to pay for.

can't wait for my kids to start so i can teach them.

hope the snow is good for those going have herd from some mates that it's prety good at the mo and should be a good season. Happy sliding whatever you pleasure and safe trip and stick up some pics to make me real jealous

Nice one mate. I did three season in Morzine. I worked for snowboard lodge for the first year then just chilled for the other two.

 

Who did you work for and when were you out there?

Livigno, Italy, for a week in february.

 

Great atmosphere, good skiing, and TAX FREE :)

Might try on Telemark skiing this year. Looks cool, except when I'm doing it :(

 

Looking forward to it. Not doing much climbing these days

Livigno is a great little resort with decent open runs. Some nice steep drops and crests to cane it over. Last time we went though the temperature had started to creep up a bit so the bottom of the runs started to get slushy. Transfer for us was a long one. Think it was a 5 hour bus from Bergamo.

 

Went to Slovakia last year with some mates. There's a place that is starting to invest heavily in it's snow sports! Cheap for food and beer too. Think a premium beer was about 35 pence. It got messy on an evening due to said pricing...:laugh1:
