but at least I'm getting paid time and a turd .

Love it

if its one or two we'll move it, if the customer is persistent we'll mention it, if the customer is expecting us to clear their sh%t every time we come, we'll charge them for it.

only walked off of one job because of poo.

my next door but one neighbour !

Large house, lots of cash, 5 BIG dogs = lots and lots of dog eggs.

We do their hedge work, twice a year, plus any tree work.

The wifes team do the gardening every fortnight throughout the year.

I went round and explained the situation and their take on it was that it was our job to clean it up.

Thats fine, as long as you're prepared to pay

Nope, they wern't so we walked off the contract.

After numerous gardening firms came and went they now have us back but pay one of the local drop outs £5-00 to pick it all up the day before we go !!!!!

I always ask if it can be cleaned beforehand as part of the H&S risk assessment. It's unhygienic, filthy and unnecessary for there to be a mess when you are employing people to come to your property. It's also downright rude. If you employ others, you have a duty of care for their health and safety, why add more risk than necessary onto the jobs. There is no excuse for it other than laziness on the property owners behalf.

I hate dog turds.

I fully agree Andy, do you this the dog poo problem has got a lot worse over the last few years? I think it has, bloody disgusting being expected to work amongst a mine field!

If the owner of the dog can't be arsed to pick it up then I sure as hell shouldn't be expected to do it.

If mowing gardens I go around it and when they come out and ask why I have left a circle I tell them it is full of dog crap.
