Massey fergusson 135 (40hp) or 165 (60hp) will do all you want.

 

I have a 135 with over 7000 hours on it, no probs at all.

fordson major, the back ends are built like brick out houses. bit bigger and heavier than the 135/165 so not so popular and can be bought fairly cheap

why do you not run an engine witha reduction gearbox to apto shaft our local engineer is going to do this for us reeing up our tractor we only need 480 rpm to run processor

My friend keeps suggesting a Lister engine for my processor with a pump on. As I don't know anyone who has done this I keep thinking there must be a reason why!!

If its going to be static have thought about a skid unit off old beet harvester never done many hours.

 

just a note that if you use and engine and gearbox it will run the wrong way for pto equipment (as I found out the red faced way)

Just to note a skid unit is a tractor minus the rear wheels, front axle so how will it run the wrong way.

You're doing a wee bit of a disservice to the 135, it is actually 45hp, later increased to 47.:001_smile:
