Hi guys and gals, I'm looking for some conifer to dress a cross country course with in the Bromyard area, don't mind traveling abit for it. Looking for a good trailer load. Needs to be longish and bushy stuff not just clippings. If I have to buy it in from miles away I pay £20 a cube collected so am willing to make it worth your while. On its own I'm getting in the 20's and towing 3.5t+ I'm down in the teens. I'm using less fuel now than I was with my 3.1 Isuzu because I'm not pulling the arse off it. It can tow 3.5 tonne on a normal hitch

A couple if fellow course builders used to run eager beavers, they had Bedford running gear and engine and a space frame chassis, 4 wheel steer. The mast would fold away down the side of the machine. Fairly nippy in top gear on the road if you are brave enough but you HAD to close a couple of valves to switch them to front wheel steer or else you'd end up getting a wobble on and be in the ditch. Lol. Mine is dumper based with 3 pot lister mounted on the side. She'll pick up about 1 1/2 ton and lift it to 20ft! The tipping back plate is great for running a bucket etc.

Yeah build xc courses for eventing mainly through the season and a few private clients then in winter do abit of work labouring for tree surgeon and farm work when the course building is quiet.

Nope, factory built, think its a benford versi lift, thwaites made one similar. Great being pivot steer as it doesn't rip up the ground. I fitted the floatation tyres as it came with normal dumper type on. Has a tipping back plate for the bucket. Bit of an old thing but does the job.

My old forklift I use for course building, is great and lite on the ground.

Hi guys, Am busy building a course at Bishop Burton college near Beverly East Yorkshire atm and I'm desperately looking for some pine or similar poles asap, 8" to 12" diameter and around 16ft long. Any ideas? Regards. Mark.

Hi guys, just wondering if any of you are cutting down any lalandi (sp) this week? Need some to dress the cross country course with here at bishop burton . would need it by thursday, can pick up from site, whole branches not clippings. Also I'm after some silver birch trees, 8 to 12" diameter 16ft lenghts, relatively straight and bark intact, has got to look smart for jumps for the junior Europeans championship here in august, need it for building June time. Be careful if you have a plastic tank, their favourite trick if they can't get into it is to get a red hot bit of pipe and push it through the bund into the tank! They take what they can then let the rest onto the ground which then cause all sorts of headaches to clear up and put right.

Hi, its a ford f250 super duty with 7.3 powerstroke diesel, 6 speed stick shift. Rated on V5 to tow 11ton on a gooseneck and can tow 3.5 ton on normal overun braked trailer and doesn't know its there. Class 7 mot and about to get a tacho fitted but trying to avoid an O licence if I can. I personaly wouldn't have a 150 (used to run a gmc 1500) the yanks only class them as a 1/2 ton pickup and if you want a work horse then you need a 250 or 2500 (dodge/chevy/gmc) but that's my opinion! Mate runs a dodge 1500 with the 5.7 hemi magnum multi displacement engine (runs on 4 cylinders basicaly when not under stress so improves mpg a lot), gas converted and engine etc is fantastic but running gear struggling abit with a lot of hard work and he's wishing he went for the 2500 now.

Ii had the 3.1 version, brilliant vehicle and bullet proof, had a very hard life (2000yr) and done over 200000 when I sold it last year! Farm where I've got workshop bought it of me for scrap money, put mot on it and they love it! Not a fan of L200's gutless

ive slipped 2 discs and been operated on, ive been to chiro@s, osteo's etc but the best luck ive had is with sports physio's, they tend to realize as a self employed person you need to keep working so don't winge at you for not taking lots of time off and tailor the treatment accordingly. having regular good deep tissue massages helps me too -
Is it possible to get a trailer close enough to where they want the ibc dropping? If so how about a mini skip lorry type trailer setup? I have considered something simular for moveing portable jumbs about the place without the need of a loader on site all the time.
