  3. Sports physio all the way, I've had prolapsed discs in the past and an op. Sport physio's have always sorted me and kept me working. Being self employed as most of us on here are them we can't afford to be off work so need the treatment to reflect that, its no good them treating you and saying you need to take 2 weeks off which what I've had from chiropractors/ doctors etc.
  4. Yep she drinks abit but I was only getting between 15 and 20 mpg out of my old isuzu and was forever in fear of vosa of being overweight towing! Won't have a prob now asking as for work I stay under 7.5 ton. She is rated on the v5 to tow 11 ton but that would be a headache with an O licence. Yep built the lockers etc myself, easily removable if I decide to sell her, only 6 bolts holding them both in.
  5. I know not technical an arb truck but this is what I've just bought for my business, I was pulling the arse off the isuzu I had before and afraid I wouldn't have a landrover if you paid me. I have just finished kitting the back out with lockers etc
  6. I was led to believe that ryobi, Aeg, milwalkie (sp) which are all the same company was pitching the ryobi at domestic market, aeg at semi professional and milwalkie at professionals. As said I've had the ryobi for years and still have one but I did find when they changed to green they didn't last so long, maybe just a coincidence.
  7. hi mark, i put alot of screws in and have for years used the ryobi 18v combi drill, the 3 speed one is the best but since they went green (aimed more at the domestic market) ive now gone to the AEG and its brilliant. i can put in 2000 12g 4" screws in somedays plus use alot of big washer head spax screws and it'll drive a 400mm 8g> great drill at half the cost of dewalts etc
  8. andrew, give my friend Michelle longman a call on 07872507924, her mum breeds and shows them and is down huntingdon way. tell her mark watler gave you her number, she'll see you right
  9. ive been with aviva for years and they were very competitive, just changed my truck for a yank tank because i was pulling the arse off my jap crap and they were desperate to keep my custom and kept going back to the underwriters but in the end said they couldn't do it. tried adrian flux and they thought they were being competitive at over 2k!!!!!!! then tried nfu (mate runs a dodge ram and he's insured with them) came in £200 cheaper than what i was paying for the jap crap!!!! bonus

  21. quote taken off the olmc website I wish to add a vehicle onto our Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence. Licence Number The vehicle details are as follows : Land Rover Defender 110 Hardtop Registration No Gross Vehicle Weight 3050Kg Minimum Kerb Weight 1919Kg Maximum Payload 1131Kg Towing Capacity 3500Kg (Braked Trailer) We are going to be pulling the following Trailer : Ivor Williams – Plant Trailer – Unladen Weight 635Kg Maximum Gross Weight 3500Kg We are going to be transporting a test rig to and from construction sites around the Uk. The rig weighs 2800kg If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, VOSA's Answer Land Rovers (and any vehicles with four wheel drive) are classed as dual purpose vehicles and - under current legislation - are exempt from operator licensing Therefore, there will be no need to add this vehicle to your licence. NB: You should contact the Central Licensing Office in Leeds, where you wish to add a goods vehicle to your operator's licence
  22. from what i can work out with searches is if you run a dual purpose 4x4 with a rear bench seat (ie double cab) and the unladen weight of the trailer is under 1020kg then it'll be O licence exempt. I got pulled a few months ago and got a £200 fine for not running a tacho and had to get one fitted.(completely unaware i had to, its a 4x4 double cab pickup but apparently ignorance is no excuse) Fed up with this country targeting the easy target, hard working peeps to pay for the lazy gits that sponge off society! sorry rant over .
