Mine's the same. I'll call my dealer tomorrow and see what he reckons.

Stubby, you seem to have had every problem possible with your 560 - what's your filter like and are you still running the stock one?

Still running the stock yellow one . on my second as I poked a hole in the first one Doh! Might try and get the "high top" filter housing from an American 562 and fit the heavy duty flock filter . All my big saws run them .

Why don't they supply these as standard? There reducing the desirability of buying from them

From my experience all there saws do this and so do all of stihls .. My old ms460 was so bad that I tried the hd filter and it ran an absolute bag of crap so I won't be trying an HD filter again... Spud has had my saws apart , one heavily used 357 that I was convinced with all this fine dust that had been sucked through over the years would need new rings/piston but it was fine.

So I'm not worrying about it at all!

My 13 year old 66 has always done this and still runs perfectly :thumbup1:

I really can't see fine, soft dust being a problem.

I've found much the same with the standard mesh filters. Doesn't seem to do any harm, I'd be more worried if I was working in in very sandy, gritty environments but pure sawdust doesn't worry me too much

Yep I would say the same . As long as I can remember there has always been a fine oily dust in the throat of the intake I just put a bit of kitchen roll on my finger and wipe it out periodically.
