[ATTACH]155238[/ATTACH]Thor 13 tonne! Good but leaking from top of ram any advice??? It must of had 20 blobs of weld now

danroker1987 Also remove the hydraulic pipe to drain some of the oil out of the cylinder so when you weld it the oil will not heat up and expand through what you are trying to weld.

yeh still need to grind an edge and cut the wedge down slightly! its well seasoned wood and the blades a bit long with too much surface area so need to lift some of logs to the top of the wedge to start the split! only runs a fast idle which seems to be fast enough!

 

Don't cut the wedge down, I have a similar design splitter and put a curve on my wedge as I was having the same problem. The curve reduces the surface area and makes a massive difference. Use the same profile as a quality splitting axe

 

Also I run mine off a beaver pack which has power on demand so isn't revving all the time unless it hits a sticky bit. I think it was 150 from the bay
