Dead sycamore over a road one of a few trees I did yesterday lovely day

Did a bit of gate hanging and close boarding for customer how is having building work done on house they bought, but have had trouble with people rusting there snouts to see what is bring done while we are in lock down. 

Gate is to side of drive because it is going too be changed slightly at end of building work.

Well yes. I would imagine when one has something, he is always striving for something better. I am unfortunately in the position of not having a log splitter at the mo, so anything would be a huge improvement. LOL! ?

Lovely lookin bit of work there. Nice looking gate too. Is it softwood by the looks? Shame the hardwood ones are pretty up there on lasting a long time. But your work looks grand.

The gate is second hand from house owners sister, came of there drive way were it was hit by lorry just knocked a small piece out of hanging stile new owner not bothered. 

So gate is probably 15 years old so was treated properly.

Of course, I started out here doing it by hand, then I got a stand alone petrol splitter which was great, then a 50cm ram on my Kubota tractor, then this with a 1 meter ram.

 

It doesn’t have the flow to push through a full meter billet, which was a disappointment,

but I made €500 splitting wood today, and it does my personal splitting for the house.

I’m really surprised at that. MultiOne machines have pretty good flow. 
 

If it’s running out of oomph it’s most likely pressure rather than flow. What’s the machine relief valve set at?

 

This is of course assuming that the actual ram is a decent size.

Like all attachments on these machines, you have to be realistic.

It excels at lifting, most other things it does ok at.

I’ll have a look at the relief valve pressure (just for you) but I had an 8.4 before and it was the same.

 

I see firewood suppliers out here with splitters with winches to bring meter billets to the splitter, serious stuff. Even then, splitting a meter long piece that’s not ideal (no knots, perfect species) is not a formality.
