A few bits from today. 2 dead trees to come out and grind and a limb on the turkey oak had sheared down its limb so we removed that too. Then off for a willow call out and finally finished off those conifers!!!!!! ImageUploadedByArbtalk1447785192.342132.jpg.2fc6881da1293b730c0096a0e3d36221.jpg

Had this beauty to remove today in the pouring rain, deceptively tall and court me out, 21m platform and at full stick still had a good chunk above me so had to climb it.

Made it up myself, just got two beasts and spliced them onto that tennex, if I tie on a smaller ring with a Blakes it can be remote installed and retrieve through a crotch as long as it's quite an open 1 that is, quick to set in a choke like in the picture or just over a limb, really like the Rings as lighter than big blocks but still use my large DMM for big dynamic loads.

Nice one, what dia. Tenex is it? Did you manage a locking brummel both ends, or one locking and one non locking?

How do you mean? It's not a whoopie splice.

16mm tenex.

Locking brummel like described in 1st section of that description then the other end done like in this video so a locking at both ends. 2nd end was a bit harder to do but got it OK and looks neet enough
