Not a clue to be honest I let the enforcement officer serve notice and we do what the court/council have decided a few weeks later.

We just have a copy handed to us a few weeks before the scheduled date. This gives the person time to get the works completed by someone else. If this is the case we get a cancellation cost and go to another one.

Just some work which we win a lot of.

Interesting! Don't hear of much enforcement down here. Is it more of an urban problem??

I've only ever carried it out in norwich City. It's normally between 2 neighbours that have fallen out in the past and the tree is their version of spite I guess. It's funny but most just let us do it even though they have a period to get other contractors in. It amazes me because the enforcement charge from the council is £250.00.

A bit late, something from Friday. A whopper (previously) protected Ash tree that for obvious reasons had to come down. That's my workmate by the way, coming out of his hole after many years in the darkness
