Really felt dirty and wrong having to take down two lovely yews. At least I know the wood is going to a good home. Plus the benefits of working in a distillery

To make a vista for a new development. Fought it all the way but the big company won in the end as they always do. There a good 150-175 years.

Out of interest (and I think you know where I'm going with this)...

 

What were the reasons for reducing this tree?

 

 

I'm guessing it was too big and the client wanted it reduced.

I'll still have about 1or 2 ton of smaller diameter stuff left if anyone wants it

I gave it up 2 years ago, the village didn't have one last year as I didn't sort it out! This year the they've got one as I said I'd order it but NOT put it up. That was in September, got a call on Thursday " when are you putting the tree up?? " Answer was still No, And gave them a list of contacts. The trees up and lit, but it probably cost them

 

That said it is quite satisfying knocking it over after christmas:001_smile:

Very true but I also worked on a plantation at the time so seamed like I was always prepairing for Christmas
