I’m out to make a wage 👍 it’s a supply and demand industry the customer tells me what they want and I give them it 🤷‍♂️ we all have families to feed at the end of the day

Exactly. I also hate the stuff, I like sitting out on our real grass and watching our bees and all the other small critters getting on with their lives. But as you say many people don't want that anymore, they want to sit inside watching wildlife programmes and moaning about the damage others are doing to the environment. :banghead:

Of course dead wood is also a very valuable habitat but you don't get constant comments when people post up pics of tree removals, some of which do seem unnecessary.

As it happens, Jack, I’m largely with you. People can do what they want with their property, just as I can think they’re tasteless cretins. It’s a great system.

There’s an argument for professionalism, refusing to carry out work to a crass specification for the sake of your own reputation (and soul), but at this stage of humanity I can’t blame you for sifting through the wreckage and looting the Rolexes off loose arms. What an absolute mess of a species.

Christ, call those gardens?!  Great examples of 'the customer's always right'.

You're right - they look shit! 😂

I hate the stuff but I have a family to feed every Tom dick and Harry go around with their lawnmowers and hedge trimmers and do regular maintenance but there isn’t many folk around my way who do artificial grass same as many folk don’t do resin drives but me and another 2 firms do so it’s only a small competition and when folk phone for the work done and I give them a redicilous price and they say crack on then I’m rubbing my hands together in a ideal world everything would be natural but the world is moving in so I can rather say I’m not doing that and go hungry or give the customer what they want and get paid

Wow, so much uproar over some artificial grass.!!!

IMO there is no need to get your knickers in a twist, it is hardly the crime of the century.

The customer wanted a specification and got a price for it which they accepted.  Someone did the job and got money in the bank and no one died, was robbed or did anything shady.

Yet, he is lambasted for putting money in the bank and food on the table.

There are so many self righteous members on here.

Get a grip.

Killing trees!

What a babe.

Murdering bar steward, how dare you cut down trees?

I guess I am one of the murdering b’stards as well.

Lovely day for it.  Fresh, crispy and still.

Removal of quite a few healthy trees just for the view.  There was the odd stinker in there as well but to admit that would get the ecomentalist going for removing valuable habitat.
