I’ve done it a few times if the ridges are rope friendly.


I did put a bit of foam over the ridge, although I was only hanging against it when further up the roof.

Course it can. It’s just a matter of whether it’s efficient and what the cost of crushing the gutters and bottom tiles if you slip is. I’ve done as much of this shed as possible from the skidder MEWP and the tower. Way easier than tiptoeing around on battens.

fair enough,ive not used the square section stuff, just the traditional half round profile.

Same. The trough is at least flat.

Logic suggests ridges would be better, however when you look at the seal Neoprene Tek screws achieve, it's a moot point. You can deform ridges if you're over enthusiastic with the impact driver.

Fixing through the troughs is the accepted way forward on box profile.

As Peter says, decent screws are important.

And I’ve been there on the ridges thing!
